Studio workspace / Code scene
Built with
The current native app
Start with an automatically generated workspace, then switch between projects and focused scenes while Workscene restores the matching windows and layouts.
Open a workspace from the menu bar, quick switcher, Shortcuts, or a global key to bring its project windows forward.
Open projects on a schedule or display change, and add apps, files, and links for a scene to launch when needed.
Export and import a privacy-filtered document, or opt in to private iCloud Drive sync with local safety copies.
Try focused scenes
Inside a project workspace, choose a scene to bring its individual windows into focus. Shared windows remain available without duplicating them.

A calmer way to switch context
One click groups the windows already open into sensible workspaces and focused scenes, then remembers their layouts.
Open the generated workspace on your current Desktop, rename anything you like, or undo the complete plan.
Switch back later to reveal the project windows, reopen configured resources, and restore the saved layout.
Made for real window chaos
Workscene focuses on one job: making the windows you already use feel like coherent, dependable environments.
Get a ranked destination for each unassigned window, see the local evidence, and explicitly repair stale rules.
Organize individual windows instead of moving an entire app as one indivisible block.
Reveal the selected project, restore its layout, and hide unrelated applications when it is safe to do so.
Keep optional Browser, Code, AI, and other focused arrangements under the project they belong to.
Learn display-relative arrangements and transform them safely when your connected-display setup changes.
Start in one click, or review an editable plan when you want control over every workspace, scene, and assignment.
Open, assign, save, organize, or troubleshoot in plain language with every action validated before it runs.
Workspace rules stay on your Mac unless you export them or enable private iCloud Drive sync. Smart Assist learning stays local, and diagnostics omit observed window titles, URLs, and document identifiers.
Save a workspace for later, close its dedicated apps and selected Safari profile windows, then resume the saved app set and layouts.
Uses Accessibility, Core Graphics, and AppKit for supported window management—never private Spaces APIs.
Simple, affordable pricing
Workscene runs locally without a Workscene account. Try the complete app before deciding; an internet connection is needed only when you activate or deactivate a Mac.
Founding launch offer
USD · one-time purchase
Launch pricing is limited to the first 100 licenses. The regular one-time price is $14.
Respecting the platform
Workscene deliberately avoids private Apple Spaces APIs. Managed windows is the supported default and works on the current Desktop. An experimental option can send Mission Control shortcuts you configure yourself, but Workscene does not claim to identify, create, or manage macOS Spaces.
